If You're Looking for
a Simple, Straightforward Ignition System for Your Triumph, that Doesn't Need Batteries,
is also Lightweight and is a Complete Replacement for
Whatever You use at the Moment, then
This is THE System for You!
We have developed this system over a number of years now,
and in its latest guise, we are able to offer some unique benefits.
Our original intention was to use the wasted spark principle (it fires once every revolution)
rather than every other revolution with a camshaft-timed device.
We felt our system would give more accurate timing control. The other option means
timing control is off the camshaft and there is always the risk of some variation with this method,
due to wear on the crank and timing gears.
Another significant benefit is the simple wiring --
both the components and the wiring between them are mimimal.
And with our comprehensive instructions, anyone with some basic knowledge of motorcycles
will find it easy to install.
If at any point you should require some guidance,
we're always here to help!

The Rex Caunt Racing
Triumph Twin Ignition comprises the following parts:
 |
Mounted to the Triumph crankcase, where the original Lucas alternator was fitted,
is our compact Stator (made by PVL). The stator is mounted on a special backplate, which
readily adapts to the original alternator mounting studs.
|
|
 |
To replace the original Lucas rotor, we use the PVL rotor which is small and light weight.
It has powerful, permanent magnets and is keyed to the crankshaft, as is the original rotor.
|
|
 |
We have specially designed and developed our own CDI boxes, 1 for Trials use and the other
for Motocross and Road Racing. These differ slightly, in that the advance curve for the Trials model gives more
ignition retard at low rpms than the Motocross/Roadrace CDI.

 |
And finally, 2 HT Coils complete our System. These are lightweight and compact,
and come with 16" long HT leads, which can be easily replaced if necessary.
